Dip. Advanced Counselling
Clare Lyons - 07790684434

I became interested in counselling in 1993 when I joined a group of volunteers who ran a telephone helpline 365 days of the year, supporting, listening to, and helping parents who were experiencing difficulties with their children. The problems varied from fairly normal to that of extreme behaviour. After training with Parents Anonymous London and working on the helpline for a couple of years, it felt a natural step to train as a full time professional counsellor.

My training was in both Person-Centred Counselling and Solution-Focussed (Brief) Therapy. I also work with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and thereby am able to use different approaches to suit the individual needs of clients.
