Most
of us experience problems at some time in our lives, but our
way of life, and circumstances, often mean we don't always
receive the help we feel we need.
When anxious, unhappy or at times of
crisis, we may turn to our family or friends for advice and
support, but there may also be times when we don't want to
share problems with those closest to us.
Counsellors are non-judgemental and will accept you as you
are. We build a relationship with our clients based on trust,
and by discussing problems in confidence provide a safe place
for clients to talk about any issue or problem.
Counsellors and clients work together to resolve problems,
or at least to come to terms with them.
Counselling can also help you to :
- make sense of your life experiences
- gain insight into why you
are like you are
- raise self-esteem
- become more confident
- feel less hurt by the past
- make changes within yourself
- take more control of your
life
- promote a sense of well-being
- make
decisions

Facing up to difficult problems sometimes
requires courage and
a desire to move toward sorting things out.
Picking up the phone for the first time may feel daunting,
but
there is no cost or commitment in doing so.
